Recent corporate world scandals and the global financial recessions have opened the doors of rethinking about the financial system and internal control mechanisms of the organizations. The recognition of the importance of good corporate governance practices in the organizations is getting momentum. Bank corporate governance is particularly important in less developed countries like Bangladesh because its economic development and growth depends mostly on a well functioning, stable and soundly managed banking system.
