Gone are the days of the peasant actively trying to send money from the village market place to his child who has gone to the city for school. Today, simple and convenient new means of payment (NMP) are driving a revolution in the way people interact with money. Through electronic money, which facilitates the development of financial inclusion of populations that were once on the bangs of traditional circuits, financial institutions and non-bank operators in CEMAC have the latitude to expand their scope of activity and increase their revenues. This new situation seems to be more of an opportunity than a threat for those players who see the sustainability of their activities in innovation in order to capture the profitability niches that are being created. NMPs are a lever for reducing the financial divide, provided that there is a real awareness of the strategic and operational levels. In addition, the promotion of a true digital trust industry is necessary to safeguard the gains made in financial inclusion, so much so that it influences growth.
