Teaching certain Biological Sciences content is a challenge, as many students don't assimilate various topics and don't feel motivated to take part in classes and consequently abstract and understand biological processes. Within this context, virtual learning environments can become instruments that will assist in the teaching of Biological Sciences content, and can provide teachers with the possibility of bringing real and significant information into the classroom in their daily pedagogical practice, thus allowing teachers to interfere, infer, and change their pedagogical practice, bringing immediate contributions to the educational community. This means that communication, interaction and activities during the school term are not just restricted to textbooks or theoretical classes, as is customary, since they can advance the relationship between student education and visual contact with abstract content.
