Decoloniality is a concept of resistance. Decolonization identifies the colonial thought patterns, ideas, and discourses that still exist today, as well as the socio-political, cultural, economic, ecological and psychological power structures and practices based on them. Their mechanisms of hierarchization and subalternization can thus be made conscious.
